George C. Lane, The Stochastics Man

A humble man, George Lane attributes his success to being "in the right place at the right time" to grow with the industry. Grow with the industry, he did. But he was also a major player in the growth of the industry through his innovation and his many years of dedicated service. His accomplishments include:

• Professional trader for 50+ years

• Originator of STOCHASTICS, the most widely-used technical indicator for analysis of Stocks, Futures & Options in the industry today

• Floor Broker for 10 years

• Member of three Exchanges; served on the Board of Directors of Mid-America Commodity Exchange in 1965

• Owned a regional brokerage firm with 41 branch offices

• Served as Research Director/Economist for 2 other brokerage firms

• Wrote a daily market letter/hot line for 16 years

• Authored 4 courses for Commodities Education and 1 for the Stock Market

• Trained thousands of farm families, ranchers, and producers in other industries --- and their brokers and bankers --- how to hedge the risk of production in the Futures Market

• Since 1953, has taught thousands of market analysts, money managers and individual investors in 30+ states and abroad how to use technical analysis to trade the markets more effectively

• Guest lecturer for TAG Seminars, Futures Magazine International Conferences, Market Technicians Association, etc.

• Having passed on in 2004 at the age of 83, George remains a role model and guiding light for traders around the world.
